Although it is understandable why I.C.E resorts to deporting immigrants who are living in the U.S, there are many negative effects that result in this method. Immigrants that enter the U.S. illegally do it for various reasons. One of these reasons is to help their family members live a peaceful and successful live in the U.S. A large portion of illegal immigrants that enter the U.S. are a family. When I.C.E. targets and deports family members back to their country, they are forced to live in an environment that they feel is unsafe and not beneficial to their children.

Another problem with this method is that is also affects children who are born in the U.S. but have parents that were not and entered the U.S. illegally. According to the law, if you are born on U.S. soil, you are a citizen of the U.S., so this means that you cannot be deported. But when the parents of kids who are U.S. citizens are deported back to their country, the kids are left alone with no one to support them and they are forced to sacrifice various things, such as their education, in order to live a sustainable live.
