It is a known fact that there are certain steps you must take when you are in a tricky situation. One of those situations could be being pulled over by I.C.E. Being pulled over by I.C.E is not the worst situation a person can end up in. The worst situation a person who is pulled over by I.C.E can end up in is being arrested and being detained for interrogations. In order to be fully prepared for a scenario when you are pulled over by I.C.E, here are the steps to take.
-Stay calm and stop the car (Do not attempt to keep driving because you can be considered to be a convicted criminal who is escaping the police)
-Show officer license and registrations (Show the officer only what you must show, and do not show anything fake, especially your identity.)
-If your asked for your car to be searched by I.C.E., you can refuse (In order for a police officer to search your car, house, etc. they must have a warrant that is signed by a judge).
-And most important, you have the right to remain silent. (You are not obligated to say anything that is unnecessary to the officer. Once you have answered all the necessary questions truthfully, you do not need to answer any more questions that relate to your personal life.
